Terms & Conditions of on-line Hiring or Purchasing
- Payment terms: goods must be paid for in advance with a suitable credit
or debit card.
- An alternative payment method can be arranged, provided that this has
previously been agreed either in writing or by telephone.
- We accept all major credit and debit cards except American Express. These
are Delta, MasterCard, Switch, Solo, Visa and Visa Electron.
- We can also accept Cheque or Cash as alternative methods of payment.
- A holding deposit must be left with "Script to Screen" the amount
charged will be in relation to the costume category as specified at the
bottom of the hire docket. Values as specified below.
- Categories:-
- "A" is to a value of £50.00
- "B" is to a value of £100.00
- "C" is to a value of £150.00
- "D" is to a value of £200.00
- Should there be loss or damage to the costume the replacement or repair
costs will be deducted from this amount. Costs, as far as possible will
be deducted from the deposit held, the hirer will be required to make good
any shortfall in the funds held on deposit.
- The deposit must be left in the form of cash; cheque or credit card No.
- All costumes must be returned in the condition in which they were hired
- It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that the garments are comfortable
in fit and suitable for the purpose before leaving the costume house. Script
to Screen can accept no responsibility for garments that are later deemed
to be not suitable or ill fitting, and in these cases no refund of hire
fee can be considered.
- Any alterations or additions to the costume hired will be considered damage
and the costs incurred in restoring the costume will be deducted from the
deposit held.
- All costume must be returned by the date specified on the hire docket.
Late returns will be charged at half the rate quoted for hire, per each
three-day period of non-return, until the costume has been returned to "Script
to Screen". If after two weeks the costume has still not been returned
it will be deemed lost and the hirer will be invoiced accordingly for the
replacement of the costume. Costs as far as possible will be deducted from
the deposit held, the hirer will be required to make good any shortfall
in the funds held on deposit.
- There will be a cancellation fee of £10 (ten pounds) per costume
charged for the cancellation of an order prior to collection.
- "Script to Screen" accepts no responsibility for any footwear
hired. Footwear is worn at the customer’s own risk. This however does not
affect your statutory rights as a consumer
- Not all costumes have been fire proofed, for safety sake, therefore, extra
care must be taken when wearing the costume under no circumstance must any
juveniles be allowed to wear the hired garments.
- Goods bought may be returned for exchange within 28 days of purchase,
provided they are deemed to be faulty and are accompanied with a valid receipt
as proof of purchase.
- Makeup cannot be exchanged or refunded except under special circumstances
- All details are accurate and shown in good faith at the time of publishing
this site. If, however errors or mistakes of any sort are found, please
